Conservation of Natural Resources:
Natural resources are the parts of the environment that are highly important to humans, whether they in one form or the other. Natural resources are available in nature itself, and humans have no say in making them. Some examples of natural resources are air, water, coal, animals, plants, natural gas, sunlight, etc. A lot of products of high importance can be obtained through natural resources. Some examples are mentioned below:
Management of the human use of natural resources to provide the maximum benefit to current generations while maintaining capacity to meet the needs of future generations. Conservation includes both the protection and rational use of natural resources. Irrational consumption and over-utilization of resources may lead to socio - economic and environmental problems. Gandhi ji voiced his concern about resource conservation when he said, “There is enough for everybody’s need and not for anybody’s greed”. He blamed greedy and selfish individuals and the exploitative nature of modern technology as the root cause of resource depletion at the global level. He was against mass production and wanted to replace it with production by the masses.(Population).
Therefore, it is very necessary for us humans to act in a way that ensures the conservation of natural resources. There are thousands of ways of conserving natural resources.
"Environment and Natural resources are precious, and we must all make efforts to conserve them".
